Our Story
"Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy." - Psalm 82:3 (KJV)

As a child, I knew the Lord had called me to be a missionary. But to where? I figured I would just ask Him. So, alone in my bedroom at 18 years old, I simply asked God where He would send me, and He answered, "Uganda."
His voice was clear as day. I ran to the world map hanging on the wall outside my door. Ahh, Uganda was a country in Africa!
In 2013, an impoverished Ugandan pastor, named Batuli Wilson, received a burden from the Lord to start a school for orphans and vulnerable children. He questioned God - How can I do this being as poor as a church mouse?
For a while, he strove in his own understanding, only to reach dead ends full of disappointment. Finally realizing his need to seek the Lord with all his might, Pastor Wilson began to more fervently pray in faith. He brought others alongside him to also pray diligently concerning this. Years passed. Patience was tested. But finally, the Lord opened a beautiful door.
In August of 2024, at 44 years old, the Lord spoke to me in my prayer closet. The time had come to visit orphans and widows in Uganda. He reminded me of my friend Jessica who knew a pastor in Uganda. I knew that pastor was the connection God had arranged for me in that foreign land. But little did I know that pastor had been harboring a vision paralleling mine.
That October, I was in Uganda! God had formed a team - Pastor Wilson, his wife, Stellah, several other Lion of Judah committee members, and one white girl (me). God lead us to the property of His choice where the project would be established. My parents generously contributed by buying the 3.1 acre property.
Beginning of January 2025, construction of the school administration building began. We estimate it shall be completed in February of this same year. We are trusting the Lord to provide funds to construct the Nursery Block next. Our desire is for Lion of Judah School to open February 2026… God-willing.
All glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ alone!
